Pole Technique

Newcomers
POLEING FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME
New to pole or curious to try it out? Newcomers is where you start. This beginner-friendly class focuses on the basics — no experience or upper body strength required. You’ll learn foundational moves, build confidence, and get comfortable on the pole in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Wear shorts and a tee for grip, skip jewelry and lotions, and bring an open mind. This is the first step in your Starlight journey.

Foundations
IT'S THE CLIMB... AND MORE
Ready to level up? Foundations is the next step after Newcomers and bridges the gap toward Progressions. This class is for students who have taken at least two Newcomers classes or have prior pole experience.

You’ll learn level one moves on both spin and static poles, work on climbing techniques, and build strength through focused conditioning. Expect to expand your pole vocabulary while developing control, endurance, and confidence.

Wear clothing that allows skin contact for grip, and skip jewelry and lotions for safety. This is where things start to click.

Progressions
I WANT TO BREAK FREE...
AND GO UPSIDE DOWN
Progressions is for advanced beginners and beginner intermediates ready to push further. If you’re comfortable with spins, jasmine-style entries, and working toward inverts, this class is for you.

You’ll build on Foundations with basic and drop-down inverts, stronger transitions, and more challenging combos. Expect to refine technique, increase strength, and start linking moves with intention and flow.

Wear clothing that allows skin contact for grip, and skip jewelry and lotions for safety. This is where your pole practice starts to level up.

Progressions II
WHERE STRENGTH MEETS FLOW, AND MOVEMENT STARTS TO FEEL SEAMLESS
Progressions II is for students who feel solid in Progressions and are ready to move with more complexity and confidence. This class introduces longer sequences, more dynamic transitions, and new tricks that challenge your strength, coordination, and control.

You’ll focus on linking spins, climbs, and inversions with greater fluidity, refining technique while building the endurance needed for Experienced-level classes.
Expect intentional movement, creative pathways, and continued growth in a supportive Starlight environment.

Experienced
WE ARE DEFYING GRAVITY
Experienced is for advanced polers who are confident inverting from the floor and feel solid in Progressions-level skills. This class focuses on higher-level techniques, including shoulder mounts, aerial inverts, and advanced spins and combinations.

Expect challenging sequences, refined technique, and space to push your strength, control, and creativity. This is where your pole practice becomes powerful, intentional, and fully your own.
